My current desktop compilation comprised of:
- Bottom: GeekTool scripts (Middle), BowTie app (Right) and Yahoo! Widgets - Plugin called WideScapeWeather (Left)
- Right: Dock bar with Kobhens icons (and a few of my own)
- Left: DateLine for the calendar

Most of the programs I have used are actually not even from GeekTool but I can share the scripts I have used:
Ekstra Bladet: ruby -r rss -e 'RSS::Parser.parse("[link]").items.each_with_index {|item, i| puts "#{item.date.strftime("%H:%M")} #{item.title}" unless i >= 3}'
Time: date +%H:%M:%S
Day: date +%A
Date: date +%d.
Month: date +%B
TV2 Nyhederne: ruby -r rss -e 'RSS::Parser.parse("[link]").items.each_with_index {|item, i| puts "#{item.date.strftime("%H:%M")} #{item.title}" unless i >= 3}'

Actually, the weather part is not GeekTool (forgot to write in the description)... That is with Yahoo! Widgets and a plugin called WideScapeWeather :)
